RNS 510 installation in 07 MK5 Golf, Melbourne

Hi, im wanting to buy an rns-510 unit off ebay for around $1000 as well as a bluetooth module and iPod MDI kit.

I have read around the i might need to upgrade my can-bus to avoid battery drain issues if its not a L model or above. And that the only way to tell what can bus model you have is though VAGCOM.

I can install the head unit, bluetooth and iPod mdi myself but i cant do the VAGCOM

Where is the best place to go to have it all installed to make it easy or someone that will just do the programming. Also if i can go get it hooked up to see if i will need to buy a new can-bus as well.

Do most auto-electricians do VAGCOM programming for radio installations and stuff or is just a handful of places?

Any VW place can recode your car / read what canbus you have.
