Diverter I would get a DV+ from GoFastBits. Very reliable
Hi,
My MY07 GTI is idling rough and hunting revs, no CEL.
Most likely PCV and Diverter Valve, it's been over 60k since they have been replaced, they are almost consumables.
What is the current revision number for them? Hoping the current revision will last longer.
Prefer OEM, not looking for cheap aftermarket. And the best place to source them locally (prefer Melbourne)?
Cheers
John

PCV valve from an Aussie supplier: Pressure-Relief Valve / PCV - 06F129101R – VAGPARTS Australia
A quick Google suggests this is the latest version (im sure VW arent still revising this part for an engine they no longer use).
For the diverter valve, you may as well just buy the GFB DV+ which eliminates the parts that fail in the original DV, but keeps the electronic solenoid that physically controls the moving parts. GFB DV+ Diverter Valve T9351 – VW MK6 / MK7 GTI / VAG – AutoInstruct
Thanks guys.
I have just checked my service history and I replaced the stock DV with an Upgraded Piston Diverter Valve 06H145710D.
Given boost feels ok, I'll probably replace only the PCV for now.
Unfortunately service history didn't itemise part number for PCV.
I read there are two types of PCV and the only way to know is to remove the exisiting one.
Or is it confirmed the 06F129101R is the correct part. I've sent the website my VIN to check.
I'll also get a price and confirm the part number with the dealer.
Cheers guys.

Also, do I need to change the PCV gasket or just reuse the old one?

The new PCV will almost certainly come with a gasket.
Otherwise.......06F103483E - PCV Gasket – VAGPARTS Australia
Or you could buy them cheaper here :
Pressure Control Valve (PCV) - Euro Revolution

I ended buying a Vaico PCV which has fixed the issue. I didn't change the gasket.
Got it for $66 PCV Valve, Breather V10-9732 Vaico for Audi Skoda VW | Run Auto Parts
Looks like the price has gone up since I bought it a fortnight ago.
Supposedly made in Germany but I can't see it written anywhere.
2 year warranty.
I could have purchased a Topran branded one from the same store for $50 which also comes with a 2 year warranty.
Next time I may as it's almost a consumable item. I think I'm on my fourth one.
3min job once engine cover is off.

GTI has been out for 10+ years. There's a dozen or more How-to's if you bother to search.
Here's one but there are many more.
