Hi everyone,

So whilst out running a few errands, the CEL came on and stayed on. I was only about 3km from home so I drove slowly and gently and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

When I got home, I turned the car off and restarted it and the light remained on. I pulled the code and got P2015. This related to the intake manifold/flap sensor. The Googling around that I have done seems to suggest that it can only be fixed with a replacement manifold. Having said that, a member in the Tiguan thread reckoned that they were able to lubricate the gears and it cured the problem.

If this is a terminal failure of the intake manifold, does anyone have an idea of how much it will cost? Also, can I drive the car to get it to my mechanic?

Considering, the manifold was taken apart about 6 months ago to be cleaned (to clear a misfire) and it passed it's 120k service in February with flying colours, I'm a bit annoyed.
