Was and Now ... My VW Evolution ...

Just wanted to share my baby, owned her for 20 months. It's been quite a journey on a next to NO budget.

I was shopping for a Sportline as that model came standard with fog lights, slightly lower suspension than Trendline and Comfortline and sports seats (which fit like a glove).

This is how she was the day I decided to buy her:

    GTI Style front and Denvers:

    GTI Side Skirts:

    GTI Rear Valance:

    GTI/R32 Hatch Spoiler:

Then Jetta Centre Grilles to give the front a visual lift (GTI grilles don't stand out on Black)

GT Fog Grilles (match the Jetta front well):

Finally brand new headlights to finish the front:

Nice. I like the Jetta/R32 style front bumper more than the GTI. Looks classier.

Thanks, and I agree, I've kept the GTI grilles so I can interchange if the mood takes me

There's nothing R32 about that front end - R32 is completely different but agreed the Jetta front combined with GT fogs is much nicer, makes you look less like a GTi wannabe.

To a not-so-enthusiastic owner like me it looks very R32-ish.
MKV Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Sportline. Just nice.

I was very conscious of the whole GTI look-alike thing hence my GTI grille didn't sport a GTI badge, I'd have loved a "real" GTI but I got the Sportline for a lot lot less. The GTI's I looked at were way out of my budget.

Seriously? Can't imagine that a GTi would be that much more dearer as a 2nd hand buy than a Sports-line and considering all the money you just spent on parts to make your car look like a GTi I'm surprised you don't have the "budget". None of those parts are exactly cheap budget parts.
