    Need to crank the engine twice to Start (Video Attached)

    I have to crank the engine twice to start my Mk5 gti 2.0T 2007.

    Any ideas what this would be or had this problem before?

    Check the battery, that crank went very slow.
    Fueling seems ok.
    A few places will test the batery for free inc supercheap, battery world and rac (q/v nt)

    Cheers the battery was tested yesterday and was alright.
    I did check the spark plugs today and they were rusty, so I will see if that fixes it tomorrow morning, as that's the only time it has a problem is when it sits over night.

    So this ended up being a starter motor.

    Good that you got it sorted. Just of of interest can you disclose details of the starter repair, who did it and costs parts & labour ?

    Around the 300 mark i would assume, part is about $200 and one hour labour at most.
