Hi internet car friends,
I have a 2008 GT Sport TSI. Recently it has been exhibiting symptoms of N249 failure. Replaced the N75, but that didn't fix it so I sent it in for a checkup and the mechanic confirmed from the fault code that it is indeed an N249 failure.
He seems to be unsure of the difference between N75 and N249, so he insists that it is impossible to just replace part of it. Seems a simple part to replace so I was thinking I might just get one from a wrecker and put it in myself.
My question: Is there any difference between the N249 part used in a standard MK6 and the one currently in my car?
Thanks.
