    My GTI is too stiff/low

    Hi guys,
Bought my GTI already lowered with factory 18's, just finding it a bit too low for parking front kerbs and speed bumps are a bit harsh. I assume it just has lowered springs on standard shocks. So does anyone have any recommendations of who to approach for quote to raise a bit closer to stock and get some nice handling and not a bounce fest?
Any ideas of average price for this to happen?
    Cheers,

Don't know how anyone would want to do this - but I'm sure there will be a lot of people wanting to sell their stock struts for next to nothing or people wanting to swap you stock struts for your lowered suspension. If you want real 4WD height then find someone with a none-GTI and swap with them. If you put a WTB in the classified I'm pretty sure you could find 10-15 people with stock struts lying around in Melbourne.

Are you able to get a torch and post a photo of the strut?

You really need to know what you've got now before deciding what to change.

Is it possible to remove a front and back wheel & take photos of the dampers & springs.

Maybe you've got coilovers & they've dumped them too much.

Agreed photos / bit more info is defintely required.

If it has just been dumped with coilovers you should be able to readjust to a height more suited for you. Other than that with 18" wheels you will inheritely loose some comfort
