    MkV GTI fans

There was a squeaking noise on my car recently and occured when starting the car and staying on idle. I changed the timing belt but its still there.

Is it the radiator fans? I heard they are expensive to change?

could be your pressure valve...try removing your oil filler cap with the engine running...if it doesnt come off your pcv valve is buggered...causes a sqeal noise running and will hiss for a while when you turn off the engine

It can squeal after shut down, liken it to a balloon full of air being let out slowly. Only happens when the diaphragm just splits, when fully busted itll run bad anyway
