Not really, if you absolutely cannot fault the issue (i.e: using logistic diagnosis and ruled out every possibility) then it's time to pull the gearbox and check the flywheel by hand for excessive movement..

Not to sure of anyone in Sydney, sorry. But don't be scared just yet, get a logical diagnosis going, it could be something simple. I am just advising on the DSG flywheel possibility because I have seen them cause this issue many times before, this does not mean this is your issue, just a possibility. Remove the gearbox to check the flywheel as a last resort .

Just wondering if you guys could help with a MK5 golf which I have recently picked up.

So far I have changed the oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter and housing.

As the title suggests I am having trouble with my golf and its tendency to be difficult to start. As it goes in the morning it will start up first go sort of, for a second or so it is really rough and shakes the car around a bit, much like it is not getting enough fuel. Once started it idles relatively smoothly. The main issue I am having is that when hot it does not like to start as well, really rough and usually doesn't catch on the first try. I have read that it may be the starter motor or battery or some ECU software where it is not injecting enough fuel when it is hot. Below is a clip I hope you guys can give me some ideas. Cheers

I have a feeling it is related to the starter and diesel injection. Just a hunch as it does everything else perfectly. I think it is starving of fuel due to the low crank rpm of the starter which i have read is a common problem when it is worn down. I think it could also be related to the injectors, they may be dirty.
