Haha I don't know why but the best shots are always the ones I do on an angle!

I've noticed that too..

What exposures would you use for HRD, -1, 0, +1 or something else?

Most of them I've done are +\-1/3
I've only got a Lumix TZ3 so the range is limited a bit (with it being a point and shoot) but its not too bad.
