    MK5 GTI 3" intake

Buying a 3" vf engineering intake this arvo.
Someone mentioned mk5's cant run them without a tune due to different intake sizes.

Car is standard atm but will be stg1 later this week. Will it run like a dog with it or are people being silly?

It will throw the MAF reading out as the stock tune relies on the stock maf housig size. It will run OK, but not be happy, you will need the tune to take the bigger intake into account.

It wont run right - id stick with one of the other intakes that retain factory sizes MAF area.
