    MK5 golf reverse bulb

Replaced the mk5 reverse/back-up/ parking light with a new bulb and still not working. Replaced with 12V 21W bulb. What could be the issue now, and what's the easiest next step to fix? I'm sure a lot of wiring issues and fuses but I'll check them again. The passenger side light works but not driver side. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that the drivers side globe not working is actually a fog light?

If the globe is correct, and you're operating the right switch, check for broken wires where the harness passes from the roof cavity into the top of the tailgate.

Also, make sure the tailgate is completely closed when testing the operation of the lights in the tailgate itself.

The left one is a backup light.
The right one is the fog light.
You can convert by removing the red disk and re doing some wiring.
