LOL!!! Holden's 1 Billion Dollar baby...

I've worked in dealerships for 20 years, and I can tell you some classic stories. Kia are probably the worst out of 'em all. Every Kia that came in for a first service had a 3 page long R/O of problems! And then they were back every week after that, either on a tow truck, or with a dipstick cheapskate Kia owner screaming and yelling abuse at anyone in the dealership! Hehehe...
Mercedes-Benz are not much better either, plenty always coming in on tow trucks. And good ol' Toyota. Camry and Aurion are having a great time at the moment with ****e build quality issues and electronics problems.

All I can say is, think yourselves lucky. I think VW are building a better product than ever, and it's showing in their "leaps and bounds" ever-increasing sales figures! Good ol' word of mouth is an awesome sales tool, and a lot of recent new VW purchasers I've spoken to can't praise their vehicles high enough!

    Well
I went there. After about 2 hours of waiting for my car, customer service guy comes back and says to me that they couldn't code my module properly ( apparently windows wouldn't work) and my remote control... they put old one back in and said IT HAS TO BE ORDERED FROM GERMANY. Another two weeks away waiting for replacement. It is a bit rude that they do not keep much of spear parts on the shelf. Is the company run by accountants?

At least got my self a bonnet protector for $90.00 and waiting for floor mats to come in because my have oval shape locking point while some new ones have round one.

    cold start problems

It is hard to beleeve that anything starts first pop in -20 degr. not yours -40 degr. perhaps your refer to electric car. A lived in the country where in the winter was common temp. -20 degr. and I remember even -30 degr. to -40 degr. Go on Youtube see some videos late model VW starting @ below 0 degr and it is not the first pop.

Yesterday, for the first time i decided to give my Golf a little bit of stick form stand still.
It was raining, front wheels did not have much traction in first and second gear and traction control light was coming on and off on my dash.
Area was flat but road had plenty of left and right turns. I have never had experience where read end of a FWD was drifting slightly but it has happened yesterday. Oh the adrenaline rush
I think I'll do it again today, because it is raining again

I've got the 2TDi going in to the dealer again for a slow oil leak. Currently has 53k on the clock with no other significant faults.

The first time, I was told a faulty rocker cover gasket was to blame. OK, no worries there.

But now my baby is leaking slowly again - new problem? or old one not fixed?

Hopefully I will know after the 24th...

    well
Module finally got replaced yesterday. Now time will tell. No further problems here apart form funny noisy drivers side power window.
Diesel consumption is improving. While I had to fill up every 11 days last two times it was 12 days. Engine is getting looser. Noticed it but higher revs in 1st and 2nd gear.

Unhappy still having cold starting issues on my 2.0 TDI

Yup....almost 3 months and still having starting issues in the morning.

Car fires up all the time, but occassionally the car will stall. Another 2 to 3 cranks will usually get the car started. Note this only happens when the car has been idle for an extended period.

The dealer said it could have been a bad batch of diesel, but I only put in BP Diesel and I am sure if it's dodgy diesel, it wouldn't span over three months of crappy fuel in my tank. (I usually run the car down to the last 40~90 kms left on the trip computer to make sure the crappy fuel has passed through).

As usual, I look to the guru's here to help, another helpful tip I saw (which I will mention when I bring the car for service is here...http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/a...hp/t-1367.html Although i don't like the part where the guy suggests "whacking" the solenoid....if it's faulty, i prefer they replace the part.

I've tried everything to find a workaround solution, but I don't think I need a workaround solution to start my new(ish) car....or is this too much to ask?

Brake light faliing off and CD player Rattle

Finally got my R32 about 2 weeks ago, have since done 5,000k's. 2 problems have shown up. 1. The brake light on my rear spoiler keeps falling off (the clips seem dodgy, just hangs on my the wires) and 2. The CD player seems to rattle. Other than that is no major problems.
