Dad had his driver's side window motor replaced under warranty the other day.
Also had the plastic covering over his auto wiper sensor deteriorate, crack and fall of in bits and pieces. Also replaced under warranty.
The lumbar adjustment on the seat stopped working and eventually the cable or whatever adjusts this broke and was replaced under warranty a month or so ago.
    Cheers,
    Trent

    It's good isn't it.
My favourite was that Dad could tell the window motor was going and when he took it to VW they said that they couldn't really tell and that it was just a little slow and making lots of excuses. Dad then said that he had owned an EF Fairmont which went through 7 motors in 4 years so he was pretty sure he knew what a dodgy motor sounded like. So as above warranty.
    Cheers,
    Trent

Don't have any rattles in my car. What is rattling, the deflector itself? May want to check it out with the dealer.

The 'drumming' sound with the sunroof open? That's the air pressure doing weird things. I just open the rears up an inch or so.

Not a big concern, but had one occasion when the sunglasses holder magically popped open. Think other members displayed this issue as well.

Is the R32 made in Germany? My GTI comes from South Africa and I'm sure the build quality isn't as good as German built (talking from experience)

There's no difference between them, nearly all the components are sent to South Africa pre assembled and only a few items are made locally (part of the seatbelts are assembled locally for example). Most of the car comes out of Germany and surrounding countries, all they did is South Africa was have robots assemble it and paint it.
