Could just need a little bit of lube, have you tried spraying it with WD40 or the like ?

yeah i get the red alarm door light staying on while driving all the time. Just seems to be a bug?

I also had to get the front springs replaced too.

    Power Window Buttons

Has anyone figured out what it is that makes the black coating come off the power window buttons?

Ours are now white (being replaced at the 30k service) but concerned what ever it is it will happen again..

Its not just the diesel cars doing this either so its not diesel on the hands

As I was changing the brake globe on the RHS Light Assembly in the Mk5 I decided to investigate why the LHS was fogging up ???

How did the water get in ??? anyone had this problem before ?

I noticed this too on my RHS rear light assembly.
Dried up after a couple of days, haven't seen it again since.

Will bring it up during the next service.

Happy to say most of the annoying rattles are now fixed (both front doors and dash)
