Mk5 golf fsi and GTI Actuator Mechanism

Hi, I have to buy two of these Actuator mechanisms for my GTI. Need to know if they are the same as the FSI model.

I am aware that the right and left side of the car is different.

    Thanks

Which actuators are you referring to? The door lock actuator or something else? If its the door lock actuator then yes they are the same across all mk5 Golf/Jetta.

yep they are the same. check your door wiring harness as well when you pull the door apart (between the door and the A pillar)

Dont throw your old ones out. The most common fault is the micro switches failing and the motors filling up with gunk. The switches can be replaced and the motors pulled apart and cleaned. It’s a bit of effort but some people say the Chinese ones don’t have a great life span so might be worth fitting them and then rebuild your old ones to refit when the new ones fail.
