    MK5 Golf 1.6L Trendline(Auto) Not wanting to go into 4th Gear when gearbox up to temp

    Gday All ,

    Anyone have any experience with this ?

    Just want to know if its common or not.
    Car is creeping up on 190,000kms.

    Quite common on these. I dare say its the valve body in the transmission. Take it to an auto trans specialist.

    Oh deary. Figured it would be too easy to just drop the oil and filter (If it has one).
