Generic worldwide handbook for most models Lots of stuff not in Aussie models
Hi all,
I've just picked up an '05 Comfortline 2.0 FSI, see this thread
Researching
and was going through the owners manual about using the trip computer and all info refers to using the OK button and the toggle switch on the end of the wiper stalk to access the menus and to reset info etc.
This car doesn't have that type of stalk fitted, those switches aren't there.
What am I missing with regard to accessing and resetting the menu items in the display?
Cheers,
Matt

Yep.
Pay close attention to the cluster that's in the car, and only refer to that type in the book.

OK, back again.
Tried reading the manual (again) with no luck.
I have the half height MFD
so therefore according to the manual I need to press button A on the wiper lever, as shown in the manual
but my car doesn't have that button on the wiper lever
How do I go about resetting the info in the MFD?
Another issue that's just cropped up is I had an RCD510, 9w2 bluetooth and upgraded Canbus installed today and all is working fine. Got home and went to start it 10 mins later and suddenly fuel guage shows empty (it was half full when I got home).
Drove it around the block and it didn't move (no low fuel light though, distance to empty on MFD was blank). Filled up at nearest servo (took 32L) and guage went back to full but DTE on MFD now shows 3000k...
I'd like to reset all settings to try and solve this first.
Cheers,
Matt
PS. Sorry about the long post, very new to the world of VW and as this is my daughters car I'd like to have this all sorted.
what buttons are on your steering wheel ?
Press the OK button on the steering wheel to change between trip 1 and 2.
Use arrows on steering wheel to scroll all the different values for the trip.
You get Avg Speed, km traveled, duration, avg fuel consumption, current fuel consumption.
Press and hold the OK button for about 3 seconds to reset the currently displayed trip.
