Hi Guys,

I'm SA based and new to this site and hope you may be able to assist.

I have a TDi 2008 Jetta (Manual) and our main aircon line that runs from the compressor to TX valve seems to be broken. looks like the rubber at the bottom of the line has split - so holds no gas. I think the cause was from the main belt ripping into the rubber due to a broken engine mount.

In any case, I'm struggling to find a replacement (second hand). All the wreckers I've contacted don't seem to have a TDi so i cant find the part.

My question - Is this part similar across different Jettas/Golfs of that year? I was told it isn't and i need to find a specific part for the TDi....

Can anybody recommend where i could find one or provide a part number so i can look around further?

PS - I've found something online in the US, but they wont ship here...

Yes, i've considered fixing the existing but the aircon mechanic doesn't recommend it due to being concerned there is no place to add new flanges, without making the rubber part longer - which he doesn't want to do as he is worried the flex may hit the belt again.

Suggestions appreciated
