    There's a K04 with manifold various pipes for a MkV/ Golf R at the vwgolf.net going for $900ish. Good buying I think

No not installed yet. Just the purchase. Yep that's the k04 I've got/getting. He lives down the road from me so it was meant to be haha. Will need another 3k or so for the install. Will keep the thread updated as it comes along.

    oh snap!

Did you buy the Golf R IC as well or want something with a bit more capacity.

I already have a Steve Petty Motorsports 2.25" high capacity intercooler installed from when I went to stage 2.
Sitting on Stage 2.5 currently. The k04 will have all the supporting mods needed already

    Update:
The k04 has been fitted and tuned with a GIAC HO file.

Special thanks to Tim from Dub Addiction for sourcing all the parts, and going above and beyond with the install.
My intake didn't have the k04 DV reroute bung, so Tim drilled into my intake and welded a bung in flawlessly.
He also performed and intake valve clean while he was at it and threw in a few little bits and pieces I was interested in at no extra charge.
My coolant distributor pipe was on its way out so he repaired that while he was at it as well.
I was from Geelong so he told me to drop it off and pick it up from his house to save me the big drive (45 minute drive as opposed to a 1hr30m drive for me).
All in all, I couldn't be happier with the install. Tim kept me in the loop during the entire process (have 30+ emails to back that up) and responded to all of my questions pretty much same day every time. The install was quick and had it back before going back to work on the Monday. There's a reason why I keep going back to him (as well as other forum members) - the guy is a champion

Oh and for everyone who is wondering. The k04 is amazing - I'm really happy I decided to jump off the fence and just do it .. so much more pull and so fun to drive - puts a smile on my face every time I jump in the car. Now to get it onto a dyno.
