As low as possible.
So with new wheels picked I am looking at some new springs to finish the look and improve performance.
I am not sure how low I should go, I am thinking between 30-60mm any lower and it would not be drivable on our amazingly kept Adelaide roads.........
Will wheel size play a part in arch gap as I am going from stock 17s upto 18s?
What are people running on their cars? I would love to know about their experiences with their lowered MKVs.
Also where best to shop? I have checked out Dubaddiction and they have some H&Rs with a 30mm drop, but I am not sure that will be enough for me.
Cheers again guys.
As low as possible.
Wheels won't make a difference, tyre size will though.
As Anth said, lower the better.
SA roads are alright from what I remember
Low and slow is the go.

I have bilstein shocks with h&r super sports (lowest h&r springs u can get) and if I was to do it again I'd buy coilovers.
It depends how low u wanna go tho.
Here are some pics of my car with 18 detroits.

Does Australia only get the 30mm H&R sports springs and not the 50mm SuperSports?
Sadly I can't afford Coilovers after buying new rims and am looking for a cheaper alternative so lowered springs are my only option are there other brands that people might recommend?
Also is the drop measured from wheel arch to the top of the tyre?

Approx 50-55mm drop using H&R UltraLow coilovers. Running 18" x 7.5" with ET 45. Had to have the guards rolled and pulled - used to rub really badly whenever I turned the wheels and hit a bump. Now it only ever really scrapes when I do fast U-turns or corner at insane speeds.
Biggest problem now is that the front lip hangs very low so I struggle with steep angled driveways or dead cats on the road.
If you're interested PM me and you can come have a look.
