    Headlights for a GTI

    Hey guys,

I need a bit of help regarding the purchase of headlights for my mk5 GTI.
Can i purchase any old mk5 headlights or is there a difference between models eg GTI, Jetta or comfortline etc..?
Is there anything i need to consider when purchasing?

I purchased a set from CT but they screwed me so ill never purchase from them again.
I looked into just changing the lenses untill i read about how much fun that can be.

I would love some R32 units but does that involve a conversion of some sort other than just plug and play?

Any advice on the matter would be great.
    Thanks

They are plug and play unless you went from standard bulbs to Xenons .

If you want standard GTI Halogen reflector headlamps, you'll need to make sure they are GTI ones as they have a black inner housing, while all else have silver.

Otherwise you could buy the HELLA Halogen projector aftermarket lamps, which are identical to factory ones as they make them, and put a HID kit in them. I've done it for years and people ask if me they are OEM Bi-Xenons. I have a write up in the DIY section.
