Hands free head unit - Comfortline with steering wheel buttons!

I am after a head unit for my Comfortline for hands-free phone and music. It is for my daughters who have taken my beloved Golf.
I want a head unit that uses the buttons on the steering wheel. I have looked and looked and I am getting nowhere. Does anyone have a model or to know what to look for. Also what is the deal with microphone, do I typically need to run one up into the top area in the light cluster.
Save me - this is driving me mad.

Have a browse over the audio and electronic section, but I think for OEM style the RCD330 is what people are getting.

Plenty of aftermarket android headunits will come with a can convertor box for steering wheel control, you just need to select the right car type when ordering so it's compatible.

Guessing you don't have a RVC?

I have one that might suit. I bought this for my MKV GTI, and had some issues with the software on it, so much so that the vendor sent me a second unit as warranty. Turned out the second one was exactly the same. Followin that, they made frequent upgrades and the unit became 100%. Steering wheel controls work. Canbus connection no problems. Because it's a large high res screen, I had to trim it a bit to fit, and made a small nick that is visible when installed. Asking $220 shipped to Adelaide.

With an Android head unit you can easily fit a RVC. I hooked one up in my GTI.
