Yep, injector recall happened about 6 months ago or so. I think it is now getting to the stage when noone can work it out. VW have had it all day with no sitrep....
Have you had the injector recall done yet? Also the tandem pumps tend to leak oil into the diesel which can also cause no starting. Good thing to check if idea's are exhausted.

Based on your description and without looking at data from the car. I personally would be looking at your dpf ash mass and if the dpf is actually blocked and also at the engine speed sensors.
Crank speed will cause a no start situation if not reasing correctly. However yoir description of coil light prior leads me to think your dpf may be clogged. This can also prevent engine start as the engine cant breathe.
Engine still starts with a blocked DPF, although it will not produce boost. Similar to what happens when a cat convertor fails on a petrol engine turbo.
As I said, best bet to figure out your dramas would be to clear fault codes, crank it and rescan to get a good idea of what is going on. Following that do the basics of air, fuel, timing and injector pulse. Keep in mind that injectors will not fire if rail pressure is <300kpa.
Have had a few now where dpf is blocked enough to prevent engine start. Either way more info is needed
Verdict was an ecu failure. Now replaced and car is back on the road. $$$!
I've had the same problem but the Injector failure, caused the ECU to protect itself.
Once replaced the machine turned. Recall, wasn't that In AU , they more called it a Campaign as they didn't want to panic the newly grown market over the last decade. So it seems if you had an injector issue you had to go to VW and they would have changed all 4 Piazio injectors as their Simens valves were faulty, then also the wiring loom ........just to insure themselves. So if VW are asking $800+ per injector you have to understand why call it a CAMPAIGN
Did you have any other issues after replacement , like washer pump relay or phone charger (cig lighter)?

The tech bulletin has now been altered and if the ECU is after a certain production date and there are still issues following injector replacement, the ecu gets replaced.
