Golf Mk V Headlight Bulb replacement

I am installing new Philips Crystal Vision 4300k bulbs.

I've read the manual and have managed to change the driver's side low beam and parker.

I then looked at the passenger side and due to the intake box there is very little room and with my knuckles already cut and gouged I wondered if I need to remove the air intake box ( no mention of this in the manual) and if so how ?

Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

Ah the joys of headlamp bulb replacements....I replaced the low beams in the Golf without too much effort. Replaced the drivers side parker but gave up on the passenger side.

Couldnt for the life of me contort my hands any more to get enough leverage to get it out. I tried removing the fuse box cover but gave up.

I'm sure someone can give some useful advice as to the minimum disassembly required to allow reasonable access...good luck

    Thanks Kamold,
I got the passenger side done. I used a pair of long nose pliers along side the air intake box to pull out the parker. Getting it back in with just my hand was harder though. The low beam isn't an issue as there's enough room to twist and remove the bulb housing.

The parker lights are easy compared to the HID set up! I had to remove both the air box and this cansiter type thing on the driver's side.

Be careful with those bulbs though, I have them and I think they burn a little too hot as I've noticed a hole being burnt into my housing (I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get a chance).
