FYI - How to remove plastidip from wheels

I recently picked up set of wheels, which had an existing bad plastidip job done to them. In theory, the plastidip should just peel off, however if it is applied too thinly, as was this case, it just scratches off slowly or comes off in tiny little pieces and will take around 20 hours per wheel!

So I looked up many methods, from soaking them in WD40, to pressure washing them, to sanding them! Nothing seemed to work for me. Then I found one suggestion, to use a product called ‘Goof Off’ (Available from a hardware store, in my case I found it at Bunnings for about $12).
This stuff works amazingly! You will only require one can (which could probably do a few sets of wheels) and something to scrub with – I planned on painting my wheels, so I used an abrasive green kitchen scourer to help get the plastidip off – got the wheels done in under a minute - you could use something less harsh if you want to avoid potentially scratching the alloy underneath. Also, grab a bucket of water and a damp cloth, which will help to wash the wheels as you clean the plasticrap off. I did a quick video and put it on YouTube. Enjoy.
