Fuel Pump Relay (J17) /Glow Plug / Speed Sensor -2007- VW Golf MK5 Tdi BMN (engine)

    Hi everyone,
Hope someone can shed some light on this for me please.

First to start off by saying that I still drive this car on regular basis bout 100km per day and I had it for about 3 years now.
The car produces normal power when and opens up great on the freeway.

Lately it has problem starting. It will turn over second time around having to hold the key in ignition for bit longer than normal.
Noticed on regular basis the glow plug light takes little bit longer to turn off than on my other golfs. Approx 7-10 seconds while on other cars it quick 2 seconds. This is quicker of-course once the car was driven and engine is warmed up.

Battery is healthy and fully charged. 1 year old.

Today the car wouldn't start and glow plug is, was flashing while key in ignition constantly until I turned the ignit off and took the key out. After that second time around , ignition in, car turned on no problems. After scanning :Its the first time it spat out the G28 Speed sensor today. Replaced the sensor year ago.

I would like to note that in the last year I have replaced the speed sensor and year to that the fuel pump control modules.
    the 01259 - Fuel Pump Relay (J17)
009 - Open or Short to Ground error has been present at priority 5 for the entire time while I owned the car and could not clear out of the system. Both pumps work fine and diesel is flowing no issues there. Posted here about it quite some time ago.

3 years prior I have replaced the injectors as the car wouldn't start and I found the GT model had a recall on Piazzio injectors.

Having done all that, I have cleared the speed sensor code and it did not come back, but, the 01259 - Fuel Pump Relay (J17) is till something I can not resolve. Startup is the big issue now.

I would appreciate any suggestions , help , any idea what to look at as I'm at the stage of no return with this .

Thanks in advance, below are the two main error codes

    Cheers

    Al

You will always log a g28 fault if car is taking longer to start. Ignore that.

I am usually the type of person to say make sure you diagnose properly first before replacing parts.... But, for the sake of max $20 for the relay... Replace it and recheck.
