Was quoted $350+ for a replacement from VW including the hose attachment. Equivalent kits (same part no's) from China on eBay can be had for <$50.
Will I regret going the cheap route?

Purchased the evap from China, but purchased the tube from Vw (the Chinese tube had a big kink in it).
Seems to be fine.

It arrived after about approximately two weeks, fitted into the car and the CEL is now gone!
