    ^^ Beat me to it.

I don't joke about things that are no laughing matter

If you use a mobile phone for satnav, and have it mounted in a "proper" cradle (open to Mr Plod's interpretation) you are fine.

But if a call comes in and you touch the device to receive the call, you are busted.

I was only half joking when I recently said manual cars will soon be illegal in Vic, since you have to take your hands off the wheel to change gear, making you far more accident prone....

I dont see the big issue with it, i bought a properly designed iPhone holder off ebay for $6 delivered.

I can answer the phone with the button on my steering wheel so that should get around that.

They should ban Ferraris and other hot cars too as those certainly distract me when I am driving.

Whilst they are at it, why not ban hot chicks from driving too? I definitely get distracted by those on the road.

Its a joke. What I have in my car is my business....

i dont believe the head rest monitors will be targeted if they are subtle like the OP. My old mans 4wd came standard with 2 x Headrest monitors.. think its more the 20 x LCD autosaloon cars they want to attack?

They will target whatever they can to meet their financial err, sorry - safety quotas.

imho i think the headrest ones are the way to go if you want them. they are a little more subtle. a better option than the roof mounted ones that hang down. see heaps of those and they can be seen from behind the car for a great distance which is what they will probably target... however i do agree with gerhard... $ is $ no matter who they get it from.

i've decided to leave mine and look at it as a factory option on my next car as the kids will be a bit older by then and it takes the headache out of the install for me.
