Every 4 years, according to VW.
Hi,
We all know that the DSG needs to be serviced every 60,000. But does anyone know if it is timed based as well, and if so what age interval?
The reason I ask is that I do less than 5,000 per year in my MK5 GTI. At this rate, I would only need a DSG service every 12 years, which obviously is crazy. I looked around online for an answer and found conflicting advice.
Thanks,
Jesse
MKV GTI
Every 4 years, according to VW.
as above, 4 years or 60,000km whichever comes first.
if i waited til 60,000km, that would be 10 years for my golf
but you will find lot of cars under 60,000km in the market have not had it done despite it is already 5 or 6 years old...
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - Super Select 2WD/4WD
Toyota 86 GTS Performance Pack Moon Slate - RWD
MINI Cooper S Clubman - FWD
Yep 4 years.
Timing belt might be due 6 or 7 years on those.
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
Does anyone know if the time-based 4 years also applies to the 60,000 Haldex service?
Yes, unless it's an MY10-onwards, then it's every 3 years regardless of distance.
i did mine at 6 years and 60,000...no dramas!
