Creaking When Turning Slow Such as Parking Spot

    Hi everyone,

I've done a search on this and found some threads with fixes ranging from steering racks through to lubrication of bushes, strut mounts etc.

I have a MKV R32 and have found in the past 6 months a creaking noise when I turn slowly such as into a parking spot. Happens when I turn to the left or right.

I have checked the CV boots and none are cracked.......

    Cheers.

Strut mounts most likely. I have an mk5 r32 too, same symptoms, vw mechanic confirmed it.

Yeh. Strut tops or ive also seen the outer cv boots go really stiff causing a creak. Can be fixed rubbing silicone into the cv boot rubber to make softer...VDUB..

Thanks all for your advise. Strut mounts next then as I've tried tightening subframe bolts and still makes the noise.

Check where the ends of the coil springs seat. The springs may be turning in the seats.
