Changing Brake Pads, best place to buy?

    Hi there

I just wanted some advice before I start ringing around.
Where is the cheapest place to buy brake pads for my 2005 VW Golf TDI MKV, and how much do they cost on average?

I am planning on changing the pads myself, however just out of curiosity what do Mechanics usually charge for changing Front and Back Pads?

    Thanks

Expect to pay around $120 for a decent set of pads. Also factor in around the same for each brake disc if they're heavily-lipped or worn down.

Hourly rates vary, so expect to be charged around an hour for the work.
