Central Locking and Fuel Flap Not Opening

Central Locking and Fuel Flap Not Opening
    Hey everyone,

Golf Mk5 GT been parked up for about 6 months as I got a new car. Battery obviously flat, so jump started car to find central locking no longer working, electric windows no longer working and also fuel flap will not open. Buttons for windows and fuel flap not lit up in car also when lights are on. Checked fuses and they seemed fine. Wondering if there is a relay that has given up the ghost? Help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to sell the vehicle. Thanks in advance

My first thought is drivers door wiring harness.

Have you tried the windows from there respective door switches?

As for central locking might be flat battery in remote or if the door wiring is shot real bad you could have the comfort bus data lines shorting out. There is 2 data lines high and low, the system will work if one is faulty but not if both are.

A VCDS scan will show the status of the comfort bus data lines.

Cheers saabman. Have tried windows from their respective doors but they still don't work. Will look into the key battery. Real issue is that I need to put fuel in it so I can get it to a mechanics, but obviously can't open fuel flap.

If you want to just put fuel in you can release the door manually as seen here How to manually open your fuel door - VW GTI Forum / VW Rabbit Forum / VW R32 Forum / VW Golf Forum - Golfmkv.com. I don't have a Golf so can't confirm this works.
