Buying R32: Newer model vs Higher Ks?

So currently I have set my eyes on two R32s: Both of them black and around $20k except that one is older (MY06) but has 130k~ vs newer (MY08) 150k~.

What are the differences between the two models and what should I go for? I'll be using it as daily pretty much until I complete uni, so resale isn't as important for me.
The only thing I've realised thats different between the two models is the rims and the MDF being half(old) vs full(new). What do I miss out on if I opt for the older model?
Neither of them seem to be spec'd out (no satnav, parking sensors etc.), so I don't think I'm missing out in terms of those extras between them.
Is there anything I should be concerned about on the old model and not the new? (recalls?)
Also a aux port or bluetooth connectivity would be nice, but I can't tell which one has it/supports it and which doesn't.
How hard is it to install them myself if I must?

Sorry for all the questions, I never realised how much there is to consider until I'm set on buying one x)

in golfs the early ones had more issues...mk5 2005-2007 were not the best...i always tell people to go 2008 onwards as less issues generally..the early ones had gearbox issues and smaller stuff like peeling plastic on switches and roof linings dropping etc...when i looked for my jetta i only looked at 08...i have a 08 and its great...still looks like new inside.. i just had to buy a caddy but with little money to spend and not much around i had to opt for a 2006 and its really rough....plastics going white etc....so generally all 05-07 models had these kinda issues

I believe the 08 -> models also had the updated canbus which would allow an RNS510/stereo upgrade without the battery drain issue.
This also had a flow on effect to a full height MFD?

I noticed plenty of the defects mentioned in the R32's and opted for the audi equivelant in the end. Much more refined interior with the mechanicals of the R32. Have you considered the 3.2l A3?

Ah, so did this plague the whole lineup for Mk5? I did realise that the switches on the center console were a bit rough on the older R32, but nothing to the extent of being cheap. Will keep a lookout.

But unfortunately they seem to be extremely rare to come by in vic, as I haven't seen one been put up for sale for a while now(there's only 2 up for sale on carsales nationwide atm). But I also much prefer the looks of a R32 over the A3 Sline but that could just be me.
