Bonnet Strut Has Suddenly Gone

Hi All,

My bonnet strut on my MKV R32 has suddenly gone, like as if it's not there.....did the oil change a couple of weeks ago and was still ok.

Did a bit of searching and seems like I need the following part: 1K0823359A.

I'll call the dealer on Monday and suss out the price, anyone know what I'll be up for?

Did a bit of searching on the net from overseas and it looks like it will be ~$50.

I've change hatch struts before on other cars, anything I should watch out for this one?

I had mine go as well, got the guys at Prestige and Performance in Brisbane change it over when it was being serviced...it did not seem like it was an expensive part

I got one for my Passat off ebay..in Australia
