Arrh Smashed the front lip into a gutter.

Well i have my second war wound. First one was a very small scratch on a wheel.

This new one is from clipping the front lib on a gutter while driving into parking spot in a shopping centre. Was only a light impact but was enough to pop the front hooks of the lip out of the bumper. Look easy to fix though. Just undo all the screws and then re fit it. Only slight scuffs on the front of the lip too.

Anyone else clipped there lip on anything ?

Sorry to hear about that! Nothing worse than getting battle scars on the new pride and joy and you can't blame anyone else for it.

I was shattered with mine when 1km after leaving the dealership a stone flicked up from a car in front and chipped my new windscreen!

No just a stock Mk5 GTI. I think it was a combo of a higher than normal gutter and the angle of the parking bay and me being not as cautious as normal when parking. I normally back into spots to stop this from happening.

I "scrubbed" a telegraph pole last year. It was in the blind spot and did a bit of damage. I was shattered at the time. Apart from that and a stone flicked up by gtigrl on the way back to Melbourne after the day of the VW in November, I have been sort of lucky....
Forgetting the 3 buggered sidewalls in 16,000 kms due to potholes and lumps of wood on the roads! $410 each for the Contis too......

    UNhooked

yes.. my bumper became unhooked and unfortunatley some of the tabs ended up looking not so fantastic afterwards. Stupid shopping centre stops...

I have done the same thing in a shopping centre car park on a concrete stop that had lifted due to tree roots, but did not unhook just a mark on an otherwise unmarked TDI.
