Talking Your dead if you dont notice the difference

The most noticable difference is the throttle response. As you know it is fly by wire. The APR mod appears to bring it all on (turbo boost that is) much quicker and there is no need to use the full gas peddle. Mainly because your changing gears that fast up to 4th, By then you are already well above the speed limit anyway (130 - 140Kmh). and it doesent slow down in 4th either, it just keeps pulling until you get to the stage of the likelyhood of messing your undies . I had mine up to around 225k's on a quiet road, that shall remain unknown, in 5th gear, at that stage it was time to Slip it into 6th and wind down so I could start breathing again: By the way there was no one else on the straight road and I'm not recomending this behaviour. Bad form really
I would not recommend taking the old lady for this sort of thing either. After all we purchased the car for its fuel economy, right!!. Any way if you don't like i'll be very surprised

hehehe once you up the power theres no turning back hey. Turns them into a serious performance car with even better effortless performance and from my expierence when i want to be frugal better fuel economy. And not sure about the APR version but the QSZ one i haven't had a single issue in over a year.

Probably should give our cars the catch cry of 'unleash the fury!'

OK OK.....so far I'm impressed. It was raining in Toowoomba yesterday and I haven't really had the chance to "give it some stick". I have noticed that acceleration is harder and lasts longer before it changes gears. When I've got it in tiptronic it pushes me back into the seat harder throughout each gear more than it did before. I assume that it's the increase in Newton Metres.

Soon I'll take it out on the highway and then we'll see some more. Hmmmmmm now where is the rearest isolated quiet road?????

    Post Performance Box

There's a device called Performance Box made in the UK. See http://www.performancebox.co.uk
It uses GPS positioning to give speed readout accurate to 0.2 Km/h, which I think is pretty clever.
It also claims to be able to record 0-60 and 0-100km/h times and peak acceleration, among other things.
Only thing is it costs £348.07 shipped to Aust, which is about $860.
There is also an Australian distributor (Racer industries, Southport, Qld), wonder what they charge...
Magazines apparently use this to get a reliable, repeatable indication of performance between cars.

To be honest the car feels as good as it did stock with smoothness and cruising but when you press more than a quarter on the accellerator the huge amount of torque just shoves you into the seat effortlessly. Feels like the way the car should come from the factory.

Power wise is somewhere between 185 to 200 and about 380Nm depending on if you have exhaust also done, have left the stock air box so as not to upset the cars electronics. I use to have a WRX and feels as quick if not a little quicker and as a package i have no problems keeping up on a mountain run if not dissapearing up the road.

On side note the Mrs also has a Mini Cooper S. Also a quick little bugger.
