Interesting article. Confirms my research on APR. All they do is make performance bits for VW's, thats gotta be a good thing, right!!. If we ever go to the US would like to visit the facility at APR. Starting to sound like I should be getting a commission for all this flapping on

Yeah - they have been tuning the new 997 turbo, so I hope the back straight is long enough

Talking about dyno's - the Sport compact car shootout on some heavily modified GTI's has just been published.

They had magazine editors, tuners, a rep from the dyno company present & they still had massive trouble with the DSG car on the dyno - ( you have to read the article - the sidebar called "dyno drama")

Just read the article, i have a DSG car and didn't have any issues on 2 different dyno's and had fairly constant 140atw. And had none of this changing up at higher rev's that was mentioned. Peak power is gone by redline anyways. Only thing is most dyno's are all over the place for accuracy which means car could go from 135 at one place to 170 at another.

I'm getting a 6 hour APR trial flash done on my DSG GTI tomorrow. It will be very interesting to see if the results live up to all the hype............If it does I guess that you couldn't call it hype though could you.

Oh boy... my 6 hr demo on my apr flash has finished , What a difference. I feel like I'm driving a non turbo again....very boring Cant wait till I can afford the full flash download.
