Another new Jetta on the road.

Hi Y'all.

Been following the Forum for a few months now but waited until my new Pride and Joy arrived before joining and meeting everybody officially

My car arrived in Fremantle Port this weekend and now only waiting for it to be unloaded, sent to Osborne Park VW, pre-delivery, protection package for the paintwork etc etc and the list goes on. Waiting is nothing new for me though as I ordered the car back in September 06. I ordered a 2007 build model thinking that would help re-sale in a couple of years, not realising that 2007 models apparently start getting plated in the second half of 2006 (or something wierd like that

) So i needn't have waited really, nevermind, should be picking it up in two weeks or less according to my salespeople

I have to work out how to post some photos when I finally pick it up, and Im getting a friend to help me overcome my difficulty in posting an avatar picture.

Im looking forward to sharing my experience of the VW scene with everyone here. Take it easy and keep it Rubber Side Down

Please say you have the OE spoiler too

(saw one at my dealers when Jetta was 1st released

Sorry Ben, I didn't go with the rear spoiler in the end, though it feels like I ordered just about every other option on the list

. I didn't bother with the sunroof either as IMHO thats more of a Euro option, we have more than enough sun over here (Perth) and sunburn on the scone while driving is at the bottom of my wishlist

.

Phoned the dealer today to get an update on pick-up, still saying up to 14 days

. But they did say that the OE bluetooth phone kit to activate the steering wheel control is now available, $780 installed. I am getting the iPod adapter connected (by the dealer I assume rather than fitted at the factory) so I will have to ask if they can negotiate pricing as the dash will be stripped already and they can do both together....

Delivery had better happen soon as I am onto my second sales brochure and the staples have fallen out again from over use

Did you get any other spoilers side & front ?

Yes I have a VW book that I always reference too, its starting to wear and tear

also I love the smell of new VW Brochures
