Found these guys while reading MOTOR magazine, sounds the goods, similar to specs to APR and OETTINGER.
Ive installed the Oettinger stage one, On paper its less than the APR upgrade only offering 173kw & 380-390nm. But damn its worth it. I have noticed the car is less drivable than it was in peak hour traffic. Making the DSG even more notchy. On the freeway the car feel like a different beast you rarely need to gear down. Launching with "launch control" is a smoke fest. Rolling acceleration is also a smoke fest. It will brake traction rolling up to 60kph. I've had the car since Feb and only upgraded it three months ago. At this point I have only good things to report. Except now my tyres need to be replaced.
The local dealers also do a free 6 hour (driving hours) upload. After which it restores the factory tune. I got them to install the demo. 10 MINUTES later they were installing the complete program. Its that good.

I hear APR is also a good option. Powerchips hmmmmm

Had a look at http://www.qsz.com.au/home.htm as mentioned. Their site doesn't offer a GTI V/Jetta FSI upgrade. They seem to deal in chips. Chips are a more painful upgrade as most require the ECU to be opened and installed or sent to the programmers for installation. Upgrades to prior models especially.
I know the APR and OETTINGER upgrades only require a cable to be connected to the Engine Management interface. The internet handles the rest. The car is upgraded in 30 minutes.
As mentioned the companies that offer these upgrades ca supply a demo program for 6 hour driving free of charge. After which your car returns to the factory settings.
I chose the Oettinger upgrade becuase it offers a warranty (for what its worth).
I used Volkspower in Burwood Victoria for my Jetta.
I find it difficult to express the changes it made to my car except to say "Try it out for yourself". Most of you would know of the delay you get with the Turbo-DSG combination (especially after braking hard). It borders on dangerous. Had me thinking twice about pulling out into traffic. Its gone completely its now a metter of "press the accelerator and hold on".
The "kids" mode in the Oettinger option is cool, Drops the power and top speed to 100kw and 140kph.
The site must be out of date as the car that MOTOR magazine drove was a chipped MK5 GTI, 190Kw and 400nm along with C.A.I and full miltech exhaust. And yes they do require the ECU to be sent to them.

The warranty is oettinger warranty and not factory VW . So read terms and conditions of the warranty !!
Ive seen the car for sale . When it was for sale it was sold with AMD chip . In the motor test it had a Wett chip ?????????????????Originally Posted by Hilton_K

Regarding Warranty if you read my post. I wrote: I chose the Oettinger upgrade because it offers a warranty (for what its worth).
I made no reference to it being supported under the factory warranty. I also stated "for what its worth"..
I cant help but smile everytime I drive my Jetta.. Its a pleasure to drive the torque is unbelievable.
When I come up against "STOCK" GTI's my smile gets bigger. My mate who has a GOLF V GTI still scratches his head and wonders why my car thrashes his everytime. I really should tell him what i did..
