Who's DSG in a brand new Skoda (any model) misbehaved?

A lot discussions in other parts of the forum on this topic is going on (incl. Adelaide's Advertiser in past 2 weeks Cars Guide) and I realized that not much of it made to the Skoda section. Maybe I missed it, maybe the affected Skoda owners debated it at other part of the forum? Or could it be that your Skoda left the factory with the DSG properly checked for the right operations and any needed corrections were done properly at the factory? Anyhow, those of you who had to go back to the dealer and had to have a work done on the DSG, we would like to hear about it.

Please, do not post, if you just went back to the dealer and had it explained that the problem you were having was just the normal DSG behavior.

Also, it is only for all Skoda models, so do not post about other VAG models. Use the below example how to start the post.

    Model year:
DSG found faulty at xxxxxx km, on day/month/year/
    Repaired at xxxxxx km

...and then post, what the DSG was doing incorrectly in your own words (as many as you like).

    Positive experiences also welcome.
You also should be the owner of the car, unless you have very detailed informations about the failure and are willing to share it.

MY10 Octavia 118TSI, done 43995km. have just noticed the DSG is started to vibrate a lot when riding the clutch in second gear.

Happens either when leaving from a stop in D, or when at crawling pace and accelerating away again.
Car will be booked in next week for 45K service so will get them to check it out.

ive replaced 2 2010 octavia DSG, and about to replace a 2011 superb DSG. All kilometres were down around 10-15 thousand k's. Admittantly i see far less DSG problems on skoda then vw

Interesting statement from buzuki that he/she sees more problems on VW than Skoda.
Maybe there are more VWs around than Skodas?

60,000km on my 125TDI Superb and no problems.

Happy to be corrected, but wouldn't all the DSGs be the same regardless of if its a Skoda/VW. I doubt they are using different internals or software? Guessing they just turn up at the factory on pallets and get bolted on at station x

    DSG, 20000k's and no problems.

Hmm, you probably didn't read the original post.

Where the car is put together can have a big impact on its quality.

I have an 09 TDI RS and I've always had a feeling that my DSG has something wrong with it, especially when gearing down from 3rd -
2nd, it can be a real rough change which can jolt the car a bit. Travelling at slow speeds (around 40-50km) it feels like it can't just stay in a particular gear, instead it's jumping from 3-4, 4-5, 5-4, 4-3 which makes the ride very frustrating.

I've mentioned it to Skoda twice now, they run their tests and keep telling me everything is fine. I've still got 4 months left on warranty and wouldn't mind getting it properly looked at.
I'm spoken to my local VW dealer who advised they can look at it but can't action any warranty repairs

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Would anyone with a DSG TDI RS be willing to meet up so I could test mine against theirs? (South - East suburbs in Melbourne)

    Cheers
