No, they are illegal to use on road registered vehicles unless supplied by factory.
Also i have heard of some of the cheaper ones fracturing.

I'm considering getting 10mm spacers... especially for the rears on mine.
I know about the legalities, but for 5-10mm? Really?... My cars a bit of a legal anomally anyway![]()

Yes, they're illegal in Australia. (What isn't these days?)
If they're TUV (etc) approved, I wouldn't bat an eye lid.
Just make sure you use longer bolts, and as mentioned before, don't get cheapies.
I'm sorry what?
What set of wheels could you get for the price of 4 spacers? I think you've made a bit of a mistake there.

Used to use them on my Galant when I was running Mazda wheels.
Yes, they were/are illegal. So is speeding, running HIDs without washers/auto-level, etc.
On a Skoda, you can get away with ~7mm (maybe 10mm) spacer & still use the original bolts with sufficient thread engagement.
A pair of 10mm hubcentric spacers with new bolts will be about $150 off ebay
Mysticality. It's got nothing to do with wheel or tyre size. More about the rim offset. Maybe you should have got ET35 (sounds like you are on ET45)
