Where did you go for the 60k service? Ours is due in Nov along with the 4 yr service, they promised all kinds of things if I went there for it, but with most of the staff I knew long since gone, all bets are probably off.
It's not a "firmware update" - strike one for the dealership.
It's the exhaust recall from earlier in the year that I got a letter about, rang the dealership and was told it would be done at the upcoming service, took the car in for the service and reminded the dealership about the recall and was told afterwards everything had been done - strike two for the dealership.
There are apparently several owners affected from this particular dealership -strike three and you are out!
The thing that annoys me most is strike one. I have always believed that if you stuff up you 'fess up and you fix. You don't get somebody to ring with a bogus story.
I am so happy at the place I had my 60k service done at around 60% of the quoted cost from the dealership that I think this will be probably my last visit to that location.
Can't speak highly enough for the person I spoke with at Skoda/VW customer service. She was very good and did everything she said she would do when she said she was going to do it.

This is the actual recall detail from The Recalls Australia web site.
If you ring the VW/Skoda 1800 number with your VIN or reg number they will be able to confirm whether your car is affected and whether it's shown in their system as fixed.
Ta, didn't realise it was the one you linked in your original post. I'll follow up with VW Oz tomorrow
