No storage box under the front passenger seat is an obvious one, and lack of the sunglass holder with the sunroofs now due to more sensors or something sitting up there instead now.
I have the Tech Pack on my MY16 Style sedan and the keys are both flip out type, surprised me too. I can't find anywhere on the car that the key could be inserted except maybe if we have the key in the glove box to disable passenger airbag? I haven't looked to see if it's there on the Aus version.

    Cheers,

You prise the end cap off the driver's door handle and you will find a keyhole behind it.

I have heard thats hard to do without damaging it. I had to use the key once on our santa fe when the battery died while out but it still had the visible keyhole. I'm hoping these cars are a bit smarter and tell me when the battery is getting low beforehand.

Ah ok, I wwas planning to do it via VCDS. I guess I could invest in one of these for the long run, but the VCDS can do more things. Haven't seen that setting for VCDS though.

What did you do to your Octavia today?

Not today, but last weekend.. Took it for its first real road trip. Adelaide to just north of Blanchetown. Fully loaded with kids and camping gear, towing a trailer (my guess trailer was around 400kg loaded). Cruise set on 110 most of the way. Averaged 7.1L/100km... Pretty happy with that. Only place it struggled a little was overtaking up a hill, starting from ~80.. Felt like it was in the wrong gear but was probably just lacking power.

Noticed today that I don't see the stop start activating, and I had a lot of stops in heavy traffic today. Car has only done 30km in total so not sure whether it needs to hit some milestone to be active. I can smell a lovely smell outside though so guess all the exhaust is breaking in.

Actually just reading the generic blurb on Skodas website, it seems it won't cut off while the clutch is pushed in, so no point me bothering disabling it as I can't think of any scenerio with a manual where that won't be the case.

Arggg - I've lost control over my rear wiper (it must be female)
On hot days it operations all on it's own (un-requested),
On cold days it won't work at all, even when I move the stalk to turn it on

Noticed there are just identical safety vest holders under both seats and no storage box. It seems to be in some at times and not others. I do have the tech pack so not sure the Canton amp is underneath there leaving no room. Love that box in our MkII. They have also changed the shape inside the armrest box so not as many CDs fit anymore, strange thing to do really. In general a lot of those little storage nooks are gone, more than I realised.
