Mats and boot dish all bought from my Skoda Dealer. They're available from all Skoda Dealers. You can download the accessories brochure from the Skoda.com.au website to see what else is available. Lots there to choose from. =)

Hi Reichter is that a stainless steel protector on the boot lip in that picture? If so where did you get it and was it hard/easy to install. Cheers

I dont have any boot lip protectors at the moment. I am looking at one on ebay for the inside lip protection and have also ordered one from rearguards.co.uk through a group buy on this forum for the rear bumper protector.

Im being very careful taking things out and in at the moment. Especially the double pram that loves to hit/catch on everything.

Have the OEM rear bumper protector & OEM stainless steel door sill guards, one for the inside lip of the boot would be good, pity they do not have an OEM one. The Ebay one's seem to be stick down, bit wary of any that solely relies on glue and is not OEM, the heat here can be merciless on poor quality glue or plastics. That reminds me of my old Ford BA, the console around the gear stick melted on a nice hot day, in Melbourne of all places. It would be interesting to see the durability of the OEM bumper guard vs the rearguards product (looks like it protects more of the bumper).

Took the 17" rims off & fitted the 18". Came back to OEM tyre diameter after 105,000km on bigger boots. Not a fan of the OEM size to be honest. The wheels and tyres look a bit lost even with a 30mm F / 10mm R drop.

    Mandatory crappy phone pics.

Seem to recall someone else with user name 'brad' who was going to bring his Octavia back to standard spec in order that his L / P plate daughter didn't attract attention from the 'shire constabulary😉

    Indeed, that was the plan...

If only said daughter (who turned 18 a few months back) would even get her L plates! She's currently in full-on HSC mode (last exam in early Nov) with occasional OPD training for her part-time job so driving lessons are the last thing on her mind.

What is it with kids these days that they aren't interested in having a licence / ability to drive? None of her friends drive either.

Same same. My 22 year old son had to be coaxed into driving. Had his learners but couldn't be bothered. Only way we got him over the line was to buy him a car and make him drive it. Mind you I am using it as MY project !
Still catches the bus to uni ! Lots of similar stories in his group.

I am in the UK( but not under the best of circumstances) and having to use Public Transport to get into London.
Quite honestly it is fantastic with buses and trains running every few minutes and on time. I can see why it is so popular here although the fact it is almost impossible/expensive to drive into London is also a factor.
Adelaide public transport it si not so good and would prefer to ride a bike, walk, or even drive and park a car first.

Another factor for our youth may be that if you are operating a car then you cannot operate your mobile phone, the latter seems to take priority over everything.
