Can anyone tell me why the Tiguan and Skoda Octavia vRS have different Superchipped figures (for both power and torque) when I assumed they were the same 2.0 TSI engine in both?
Ask Superchips. I've always found them very accomodating & <48hr response times.

Did they provide you with expected performance (power, torque) gains before you purchased, and if so, are they the same as quoted on the Tig page/link I posted above?

How do you find the traction issue in first (and perhaps even in 2nd) with the bluefinned TSI?
I have a Bluefinned 1.8TSI. I disregarded their claims because all the tuners only quote the best figures they can record & all dynos are different anyway.

Traction is an issue if you can't control your right foot, otherwise it's business as usual. If I floor mine in 3rd on a wet road I still get wheel spin so there is plenty of torque available.

Try some Michelin Primacy. As specced on GT86/BRZ to ensure they slide. :-p

Am I right to assume that the 2009 onwards FL's will need to be bench tuned or can we simply 'plug and play' like the website says?

I thought all FL's were not able to be tuned on the car or via the Bluefin style handset....

    vRS TSI Octavia Bluefin/Superchip

Zei20t bought my old Bluefin hanset and flashed his TSI vRS about 10months ago. His car was pretty brand new at the time.

With the TDI's, one of my brothers has a 2012 TDI 103kw Octavia and we got John from DNA tuning to tune it and it had to have the ECU removed and bench flashed.

Depends on the car. Superchips can guide you on how to tell

It's a problem for the FWD guys, your 4WD/AWD has a huge advantage in this situation
It's awesome to see a Stage III R32 turn off the traction control and light up all four wheels
