VRS mk3 rear sway bar - any thoughts?

Had a MY16 vrs wagon for a few days now and I've got to say it leans on the front tyres far too heavily and turn in could be much better.

Is there a mild rear sway bar (only) I can fit that rectifies this? Something adjustable. Obviously if I am doing rear bar only I don't want some monster 27mm version.

Also, does anyone have the stock bar thicknesses and if they are hollow?

APR have roll bars (I think they are the same as the Jetta)

    What tyres and tyre pressures?

Yeah lots of places have anti-roll bars but I'm hoping someone has some experience with fitting just the rear one. Also many suspension makers only want to sell a front and rear kit.

Tyre pressure were 41psi (warm) from the dealer so I dropped the front down to 36psi. Hopefully that makes some difference but the amount of load this thing puts on the outside front tyre makes me think it's going to need a lot more than tyre pressure to sort it out. I know it's all subjective and I'm used to a more neutral balance but I think they made this thing a bit too understeery. Tyres are S001, factory fit.

not many brands have come out with swaybars (front or rear) for the MQB platform yet.
    this includes the mk7 golf.

APR have them - actually they're HP Performance brand. however they only come as a pair - which is a shame. u don't need both.
front swaybars r useless on FWD cars.

    Whiteline don't have them yet.
    neither do the other makers.

don't know why its taking so long...................

Did a bit more research and noticed SuperPro have a 22mm and 24mm rear bar option. Both are adjustable. So when I go down this path I think the 22mm would be a good option. I'll have to measure the existing bar but I'm assuming it is the same 20mm bar as the Golf Gti (non DCC). So a 22mm would be a 46% increase (and there is some adjustment there in the superpro bar).

Please keep us posted if you are to upgrade your rear sway bar, I can't say I like the initial lean on turn in either.

When I bought the Octavia I thought the car handling was good and lean was acceptable
Since then I've done both sway bars, Bilstien B14 shocks/springs, superloy control arms
This has certainly taken the edge off the ride comfort - but the handling is great

The reason to do both is balance
Adding a stiffer rear sway bar does aid turn in,
but it also exaggerates lift off oversteer which is very nasty and can catch you out and get you into a tone of trouble quicker than politicians changing leaders

I haven't looked at MQB platform but on the MK2 vRS the rear bar was 21.7mm (hollow IIRC). I'd go with the 24mm solid bar on soft if I had to go with a bar. Personally, I'd fit uprated rear springs as I think they work better than bars (I don't like the coupling effect).
