Ordered mine last month but need it delivered before end of August. Will be keeping my options open for a replacement if it can't be delivered by this time. One bonus for current owners could be that they maintain a good resale value.

But dealers are still discounting heavily to get a sale! I've priced up a moon white/tech pack/black pack (18") manual Wagon for less than $42K ORC from 2x dealers. And, a car broker beat my own negotiations by a further $800.

I'm still non the wiser as to when to go into battle as I'm 90% convinced to get the new car early next year rather than late this year. If they speed up deliveries I will be caught out early. On the other hand it might mean the special model might be on the cards....hmm

I'm aiming for 44k for man wagon with tech/18" black/sunroof/extra warranty. Still don't know whether to look into their finance, I just know it will be crap compared to who I've used the last few years. I saw they have a guaranteed buyback price coming soon though. We tend to keep my car for my wife each round so that probably doesn't help me.

I have gone with VW finance last 2 vehicles as I couldnt get better elsewhere surprisingly. See what you can do to get best deal out of them.

I used Skoda Finance for my last two as they had the 2.8% offer, it was a Novated Lease so it was definitely worth it.
