Hi There, I have a 2010 Octavia vRS diesel hatchback. I need to put some new tyres on it & was just wondering what others had on theirs. Cheers

2010 Candy White Octavia vRS 125TDi DSG
High performance with great life (45k~50k)
Michelin PS3 $300 each or Goodyear F1 A2 $250 each
Hankook Ventus RS3 is another good option
Continental CS5 or MC5 are options
Bridgestone RE040/050 are good but expensive
Pirelli are expensive, noisy and don't last very long

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
I wouldn't put the Hankook Ventus RS-3 in the same category as all the other tyres mentioned so far: bit of a motorsport-orientated road tyre. Noise, comfort and wear aren't optimised for road usage (only keen drivers need apply).
EDIT: The Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 (K117) would be a better match for the Michelin PS3 or Goodyear F1A2, if one is interested.

Hoyhoy.
Forget the rest, get the best, Federals 595 RS-R.
You'll be surprised with the $'s & performance.
Hooroo.
OP:
What do you actually want from the tyre? sporty performance, low noise, long life, smooth ride?
