Whats the most recent trade in value for those that recent traded in? PM me if you let me know please.

    Thanks
I traded my 2010 Skoda Scout diesel in on my current Octavia in 2014 and in retrospect, it was a mistake. The Dealer re-sold it the same week for $6000 more. What I realise now is that there are people out there who really like Skoda but won't buy one new and because there are few on the market, they will pay good money for a car in good condition. This especially applies to niche models like my Scout which was manual,4WD and diesel. Next time I will sell privately.

Even for a newer model as I cant get the same again. I may consider over $50k if I was offered it, but wouldnt sell for under $50k.
Did they drop the man diesel, pretty sure it was still there when mine was ordered in Aug and still there when the order actually went in Nov. Definitely can still get the man petrol or I would have looked at something else. Love my manuals, loved our original RS man as well.

New RS only in dsg petrol/diesel or manual petrol.

I havent seen anything to the contrary.

New diesel rs is odd as the exhaust outlet on one side has no pipe behind it. You cant tell though unless up really close.

I've only got 1 call so far ever since advertising it. But that person decided to buy a brand new scout or Base model Octavia. He was comparing to say oh I can get a base model octavia for $27k.

I hate people that compare Apple with an Orange if you get what I mean. Anyways if I hold on to it for another year then later even if I sell at the trade in price now at least I have 1 year of using that car.

Beside I'm still in love with the power and fuel economy !!

Realistically, though - its unfortunate that the general public doesn't have a better perception of what really is a wonderful brand with - dare I say it - better build quality than the German cousins.

Last year I sold my RS in about 3 weeks and it was $6-7k difference over what dealers offered. DSG/TSI/Blue/Leather/Wagon - popular variant. It was worth the hassle of selling privately, but maybe I got lucky with buyers. The people who were keen weren't tyre kicking though, they were ready to buy and wanted that exact car.

My parents bought mine so didn't have to wait long. I gave them a pretty good price though.
